We finally had an outing with a local family. Well, kind of local,Tami, Dennis and their two boys, moved here from Texas earlier this year. Her oldest son was placed in Chandler's class. Although they have totally different energy levels, they seem to meet in the middle.

We decided to go to the "amusement park" in Portland, Oaks Park. It falls someplace between Six Flags and a traveling carnival. We started with the lame Lewis and Clark ride (the moms pick), and ended laughing into tears as Nick and Henry screamed their heads off on the roller coaster. We could only laugh at their terror since big brothers were by their sides, offering support (?).

It was really nice to spend time with Tami and get to know her better.
