First Snowfall of the Season

This morning we woke from knocking on the door and the kids yelling, "It's snowing! It's snowing!"
They were more excited than Christmas morning...almost!
We filled the morning with sledding, fort making, snowballs throwing and hot cocoa with Christmas cookies.
More to come as the day progresses.
The afternoon brought more snow fun. The street's kids (the usual suspects) and Matt joined in on the fun.
Watch out Kool-Aid Mom, here comes Cocoa Mom with Christmas cookies!
PS School is cancelled for tomorrow but the kids don't know yet!

School is canceled??? You Oregonians must not be use to a lot of snow. I don't think they would do that here unless there was 18 inchs of snow. We got maybe three and the kids weren't real excited about it, not enough to sled in yet. They did have to shovel the driveway and they were not real excited about that. At least we will have a white Christmas, thats the best!! Enjoy the snow :)

Not in our area, mostly rain, maybe snow 4 times a year. This is about quantity, but sub-freezing temps! The road are a sheet of ice!
Day two today, with more snow and freezing temps for the rest of the week.
The best...my work is canceled also!

snow days have a whole new meaning now right Michelle? We had snow today, too; just a bit to make it look pretty. I was reading Snowflake Bentley to the class and as we started making snowflakes, it started snowing outside! Pretty cool.

That is cool.
I'm as excited as them! Downside...I don't get paid but I'm also not our spending, so it is a win-win!
